Privacy policy
Your privacy
Postgames doesn't know who you are, doesn't show ads, and doesn't sell or share anything about you. Here's the full picture, in plain English.
Last updated October 11, 2026
The short version
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your stats, streaks and daily results stay on your phone.
- Rooms only hold the nickname you pick and how the game goes, and they're deleted within about two days.
- No ads, no cookies, no tracking you around the internet, and we never sell or share your information.
Who we are
Postgames is a free sports trivia site at postgamestrivia.com. Questions about this policy go to privacy@postgamestrivia.com.
What's saved on your phone
Your solo games and bests, your daily challenge results and streaks are saved in your browser's storage on your device. They never leave it, and we can't see them.
To erase them, clear this site's data in your browser settings or delete the home-screen app. The Stats page also has a button to reset your solo stats.
When you open the trivia game
The trivia game signs your browser in with a random ID from Firebase, a Google service, so rooms can tell players apart. The ID isn't linked to your name, email, phone number or any other account, and it's stored in your browser. IDs are deleted automatically after 30 days, and your browser simply gets a new one.
The daily challenges and the rest of the site don't use this.
When you play in a room
A room stores, on Google's Firebase servers in the United States:
- The nickname you choose (or "Player 2" and so on). Please don't use your full name.
- The players you guess, your score, your votes to end a game or get a hint, and the room's running leaderboard.
Only people in the room can see its game. Anyone with the room's code can see the nicknames in it, which is how joining works.
A room is deleted when the last player leaves, or within about two days of its last use if everyone just closes the app.
Visit counts
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the pages viewed, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, and your country. It uses no cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and can't tell who you are. We only ever see totals.
Services that help run Postgames
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the domain, counts visits and forwards our privacy email. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and basic details of each request to deliver pages and keep the site safe. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Firebase runs the rooms and the random sign-in ID, and the trivia game loads Firebase's code from Google's servers, so Google handles your IP address when you use them. Google's privacy policy.
The sports stats come from public sources and contain nothing about you.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no advertising or social media trackers.
- No cookies.
- No selling or sharing of personal information, for money or otherwise.
- No tracking across other sites. Because of that, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control settings don't change anything here: everyone already gets the no-tracking treatment.
Sharing your results
The Share button hands your result to your phone's share menu or copies it. Nothing is sent to us.
Kids
Postgames is meant for people 13 and older and isn't aimed at children. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, such as a nickname in a room, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can erase everything on your phone at any time (see above), and rooms delete themselves. Because there are no accounts, we usually can't tell which data is yours, but if you want something seen, corrected or deleted, email privacy@postgamestrivia.com and we'll help. Wherever you live, including California and the EU, we'll honor those requests.
If you email us, we get your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
Keeping it safe
Postgames only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), the room database only lets players in a room see and change that room's game, and the site uses strict browser security settings. No system is perfect, but we work to keep what little we store safe.
Changes to this policy
If Postgames changes what it collects, for example by adding optional sign-in, we'll update this page before the change goes live, change the date at the top, and mention it in the patch notes.
